“Live Stream” Alert: Riders To Face Cathedral City In 1st Round D-5 State Playoff Game

Sell-Out Expected For Tonight’s Historic CIF/State 1st Round Playoff vs. Cathedral City

(Boyle Heights/East Los Angeles, CA.)—The biggest and most important game in Roosevelt High School’s Boys Varsity basketball history is set for tip-off against the Cathedral City Lions with their overall record of (14-16) and (7-7) in the Desert Valley League, tonite,  3/3, at 7:00 PM. This historic and program-changing State Tournament match-up will take place at the home of the Roosevelt Rough Riders, seeded #2 in this playoff bracket. The game will be “Live Streamed” on the NFHSNetwork.Com via its local Affiliate, East L.A. Sports Scene Productions.

This high level State of California, CIF match-up features the Riders’ 8th year Head Coach, Mario Perez’s deepest run ever in the school’s basketball post-season tournament play. The Rough Riders currently have a (7) game winning streak that goes back to their final three Eastern League games when they defeated Huntington Park, Legacy, and then longtime rival, Garfield, followed by their miraculous four game sweep of their CIF/L.A. City Section Division 2 tournament opponents, John F. Kennedy, Hamilton, Poly, and lastly, South East for the Title last Saturday. The Rough Riders, now set to play in their 31st game of the season, come into tonight’s contest with a hard-earned, and well-deserved (20-10) overall season record.

Now, let’s all get ready to support the Rough Riders in their quest to reach the “Mt.
