Exclusive Highlights Of Riders Win Over Crenshaw

Riders Move To (3-0). Face Dorsey Next At Home Opener

(Boyle Heights/East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The Roosevelt Rough Riders came into this 2022 non-conference match-up with the Crenshaw Cougars of the Coliseum League in a rematch from last season. In that encounter, the Riders won a nail-biter by the score of (21-20) on their home turf.

Now, going into fast-forward mode, we move to last week’s extremely hot 98 degree September 1, 2022 date, with a 7:00 PM kick-off time. It was understood by the team and its Coaches that the Riders were in a fresh and new state of mind as they traveled to Southwest Los Angeles to Crenshaw on the Thursday before the start of our National Labor Day Holiday weekend. The Rough Riders were hoping to make it two consecutive wins over the Cougars.

What we present here to our followers and those who have just begun to come on-board with us for high school football coverage, is our “Exclusive” 5:00 minute mini-highlight video of a game that produced a total of 100 points between both teams. To the Riders went the spoils as they produced (62) of the total. Crenshaw, the other (38). The touchdowns came in bunches, and for most of the game it was the Rough Rider swarming and pressure defense that locked up the win. On offense, their high powered “double-wing T” formation caused much confusion for the defense, which was made evident by the final score.

This posting precedes our regular full-game length highlight video courtesy of Roosevelt High School and Head Coach, Aldo Parral. This piece will definitely give you a much closer look at an on-the-field type of game experience as it was captured by our highly talented and veteran Field Producer, Frankli Robles.
